Bradford Pear trees are early and beautiful bloomers. They grow very rapidly and can achieve a height of 25 to 30 feet. However, they do have a short life span of about 20 to 25 years. This is partly due to the fact that their branches break and split easily. They do not tolerate high winds nor ice very well. They are hardy in zones 5-9.
